The Borough currently employs approximately 80 people across the various departments.
Recruitment
Paid firefighter and police officer positions are filled following the Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations for recruitment for entry-level positions and promotions. Recruitment for all other positions is processed through the Borough Manager's office. Appointments are made by Borough Council based on the recommendations of the Personnel Committee.
Personnel Committee
The Personnel Committee is made up of three council members. These members work with the Manager and the Borough Solicitor to address all personnel issues, including hiring, firing, disciplinary issues, and grievances. This committee, like the other Council committees, is not open to the public.
