Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the Borough of Wilkinsburg Zoning Hearing Board on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the Borough Building, 605 Ross Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221, to consider the following application:

ZHB 03-25-25: Applicant, Derrick Tillman, on behalf of Wilkinsburg School Development LLC, for property located at 747 Wallace Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221, Block and Lot No. 232-N-61.  Applicant is seeking a special exception for a School (Public and Private) to operate a trade or specialty school associated with the proposed adaptive reuse of the property as a mixed-use project including multi-family residential, work force training, and community space in the MU Mixed-Use Residential District.  Applicant is also seeking a variance from Section 260-603 of the Wilkinsburg Zoning Ordinance on minimum parking ratios to allow the Applicant to provide 31 off-street parking spaces, 88 public parking spaces within 500 feet of the building, and 24 street parking spaces instead of the number of parking spaces required by the Zoning Ordinance. The zoning ordinance requires 435 parking spaces. Those residents and taxpayers of the Borough in attendance will be permitted to comment on the application. Information regarding this application can be viewed in the Wilkinsburg Code Enforcement Office at the Borough Building, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
