Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets on the third Thursday of every month at 5:30 PM at the Borough Building and is open to attendance by all residents.
The Board consists of 7 volunteer members, with 5 appointed by Borough Council and 2 by the School Board. The Board’s general mission includes: advising Council on park plans and long term development; addressing day to day concerns like maintenance, repair, upkeep; implementation of recreational programs; processing of park use permit requests from Borough residents, businesses, churches, and non-profits; and, undertaking recreation and park tasks as requested by the Borough Council.
The committee coordinates activities with the Borough Manager, Police Department, DPW, and appropriate Council committees.
