Wilkinsburg takes great pride in the education and growth of our children. The Wilkinsburg School District is deeply rooted in our community, nurturing students from their earliest years and preparing them for bright futures.

Elementary Education (Grades K–6):

Our students begin their journey at Turner Elementary School and Kelly Elementary School, where small class sizes, dedicated teachers, and a strong sense of community create an environment where every child can thrive. These schools reflect the heart of Wilkinsburg: close-knit, supportive, and committed to excellence. Beginning in 3rd grade, students can participate in band, choir, and acting, while all children starting in Pre-K are introduced to Spanish, STEAM, physical education, library, and music.

Secondary Education (Grades 7–12):

Through our valued partnership with Pittsburgh Public Schools, Wilkinsburg students attend Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy 6–12. This collaboration provides access to robust academic programs, athletics, arts, and extracurricular opportunities, while keeping the Wilkinsburg spirit alive within a broader learning community.
